The New House

I was looking at my blog the other day and I couldn't believe how long it has been since I last posted! And I've missed it a lot. I feel like I've been out of touch with old friends. Is anybody still out there?! :)

As I'm sure you've guessed. We are settled in to our new home and loving it. We seriously couldn't be happier! I'm so excited to start to show you what I've done to make our house our home. But first, I wanted to share with you my blank canvas.

Below is the view as soon as you turn the corner from entering our home through the garage. It's an open concept and I love it. We have our kitchen, dining, then living room.

From the kitchen you can see the dining room and living room. I've marked where things were planned to go (They're there now).

This is our view from the living room to our kitchen. I truly love it. I think love is going to be a common word used to describe our home...in case you haven't noticed yet.

This is another view from our living room of the back of the front door. I can't wait to do something with that blank wall over our stair way down to the basement. The wheels are turning. Do you have an ideas? I'd love to hear them!

This is PJ's room. He picked it himself.

This one is the baby girls'. My parents are so cute, they came over the night we signed and helped us put up blinds and start getting settled in. PJ LOVED being the helper!

The day after we signed I was over at the house doing some work and I kept hearing tons of mooing. I looked out the back window and this is what I saw. Do we have an amazing view or what?! I can't say it enough. I love our home.

And last but not least, here's a little before and after picture of our Laundry. The after was taken before I did touch ups but I wanted to share with you a little something! I can't wait to show you more of our home.

So, what would you do with the amazing blank wall over the stair way to downstairs if it was in your home?

  1. Yay you're back! Love to see that you're in your home now- and excited to see all your projects come to fruition! When you say "baby girls'" does that mean your expecting a little lady again? I must have missed that! Congrats if so- and if not- congrats all the same on your lovely home :)

  3. I would probably do a gallery wall there with pictures. Maybe the ones with the clocks stopped at the time each child was born or something. Not sure. I am not the most creative person, so I don't know. My house still has bare walls and we have lived here for 2 years.

  6. I would do a GALLERY WALL! I did one on the massive family room wall in my dad's house, and I am in love. Pics, a huge letter/initial, a clock, mirrors, a painted sign! Have fun and fill that baby up! :)

  7. It's not surprising that you love your house. It looks really great! And I think it will become more so when you put some personal touches and redecorated it to your liking. Anyway, I’m curious to know your plans for those empty walls. I think frames and wooden signs can help fill in and make your walls look stylish.
